Calgary Seoraesa Buddhist Temple (CSBT) is a Korean Buddhist temple located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. CSBT was founded in 2006 by the Venerable Tae-Eung and operates under the direction of the Abbot, the Venerable Sungsan Sooyeon. We are a temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism and follow the traditions and practices of Korean and Mahayana Buddhism. CSBT is registered with the Government of Alberta under the Religious Societies and Land Act (registration no. 5420909169).
PHILOSOPHY
Our objective at CSBT is to support and enhance the spiritual practice of our members through Mahayana Buddhist teachings and the practice of the Six Paramitas (generosity, morality and precepts, tolerance, vigorous effort, meditation, and wisdom). Through these activities, we aim to nurture loving-kindness and compassion for our local Buddhist community and all of our neighbours through the efforts of the entire Sangha. |
